About Amy

I’m an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accredited by the ICF, a Certified ADHD Life Coach, and a former educator with over 15 years of classroom experience. My passion is helping adults and students discover what works for their unique brains so they can thrive—whether that means building executive function skills, navigating ADHD, or creating systems that support their goals.

After my own midlife ADHD diagnosis, I experienced firsthand the power of education, self-discovery, and coaching to create real transformation. Now, I partner with clients to help them move from overwhelm to clarity—one step at a time.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me hiking Bay Area trails with friends, playing pickleball, traveling internationally with my husband and daughters, or curled up with a stack of nonfiction books and my cats.

My Story

I’ve always been passionate about supporting and championing people. Raised by two extraordinary, heartful educators, I first began working with kids as a volunteer while studying at UCLA. My journey took me from living and teaching in both France and Mexico to a job at a learning center in San Francisco, where I felt a powerful pull to support students who were struggling.

I watched bright, creative, amazing kids walk through the door feeling broken or “less-than” and found incredible joy in helping them rediscover their strengths and belief in themselves.

I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Special Education, my teaching credential, and an Educational Therapy Certificate. For 14 years, I taught in public schools across high school, middle school, and elementary levels—supporting incredible, complex students and managing equally complex systems.

Eventually, I stepped out of the classroom to work with students more holistically by:

  • Teaching the science of learning, neuroscience, and Growth Mindset

  • Guiding students in building awareness around key pillars of growth and success - nutrition, exercise, and sleep

  • Providing direct instruction around emotional regulation and the “whys” behind how our brains work

  • Introducing executive function support (organization, planning, time-management, task initiation, prioritization, and more)

  • Tutoring math (my favorite subject!) while weaving in all of the above

In my 40s, things shifted. Hormonal changes disrupted the compensatory strategies I didn’t even realize I’d been using and revealed the ADHD that I’d been compensating for. While I was looking into ADHD for my daughter, I was diagnosed myself (after first being told “I was too successful as a child to have ADHD”). I started my journey of grief, education, empowerment, and transformation.

Since then, I’ve seen so many high-achieving, talented adults quietly struggle with ADHD-related challenges. I knew I wanted to be part of the solution—to bring education, hope, and empowerment to these dynamic humans. I completed an ICF-accredited program to become a Certified ADHD Life Coach and earned my ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation. Now I work with adults and students to help them uncover their strengths, develop systems that work for their brains, and create meaningful change in their lives.

Whether ADHD is part of your story or not, I believe deeply in the unique brilliance within every individual. Coaching is one of the most powerful tools I’ve experienced - both as a client and now as a coach - and I am honored to walk alongside people as they step into their potential.

What Others Are Saying

Amy is great! Our daughter had a difficult time adjusting to the executive functioning demands of 9th grade. Amy did a wonderful job of connecting with her and, after working with Amy, our daughter's organization, follow-through, and overall confidence regarding school have definitely increased. Highly recommended!

“Amy’s focus on Growth Mindset has been super helpful in establishing a positive foundation for our daughter’s learning. She tailors her approach to meet her where she is, and as a result, our daughter’s confidence has grown, helping her approach her math learning with a positive mindset. And Amy is a great communicator! We really appreciate how she keeps us updated and works with us along the way.”

— Parent of 8th-grade student

“Amy is one of the sweetest people I have met. She knows just how far to push you so that you can encourage yourself with her cheering you on from the sidelines. She knows exactly what you need to help you get better. She helped me so much when I was struggling with keeping up with work in high school.”

—10th-grade student

“About 8 months prior to writing this, our 9-year-old daughter was facing challenges with attention span, self-confidence, and executive function. Seeing that these qualities were impacting her socially as well as academically, we were so fortunate to discover that Amy could help. Amy’s been able to address these challenges from a neutral yet compassionate place and has given our daughter impressive tools to help coach herself through tough times. Without a doubt, our daughter’s emotional regulation and self-awareness have developed dramatically, allowing for profound improvement on both an academic and personal level.”

—Parent of a 5th-grade student

“I feel very fortunate to have worked with Amy as a life coach. I was having trouble making progress on a project that would benefit my family. I was frozen with indecision, and Amy helped me break the log jam and get me moving. She is an excellent listener and very good at summarizing our discussions and identifying things for further consideration. She helped me set weekly goals and offered thoughtful perspective and guidance. Amy provided me with the accountability I needed to move forward, and the progress she helped me achieve feels great. I cannot recommend Amy enough.”

—Mom of 3

“Amy's coaching helped me more reliably get over the hurdle of inertia that I often confront in completing my work and studies. I came away with tools and strategies for better planning and organizing my time, and generally a more proactive attitude towards making and executing decisions to advance my goals.”
